Even the most evil of organizations will have to deal with the more mundane aspects of daily life. Behind the scenes at the Akatsuki hideout, it might look something like an evil (though not necessarily dark & gloomy) frat house. LOL!
I've always envied people w/ the patience to do the jam-packed Where's Waldo-ish drawings w/ way too much information on every inch of the artwork. I was shooting for something like that, and this is probably as close to it as I'll get. Sure enough, I was losing patience at every turn, so the characters don't look as good as I'd like (my deepest apologies to Deidara, who looks the worst!). The shading/lighting doesn't make complete sense, but at this point my attitude is "well, at least I put in some." Haha!
Some of the characters' thoughts/speech are independent, but a few are paired up. So, just in case it's not clear....if you read Kisame's line before Zetsu's, Tobi's before Itachi's, and Kakuzu's before Sasori's it should make more sense.
That's about it. Hope you like!

I'm really not sure how long it took since I kept procrastinating on it. I'd color 2 things then let it sit for a few days. LOL! I think I actually started before Labor Day.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
